Bruster's 50% off Franchise for Veterans

It’s been about 8 months since B has been out of the military, and we’ve slowly been transitioning back into civilian life. There are always the big questions when getting out of the military, like where are you going to live now, and what you are going to do. After B was stationed in Chicago, almost 4 years ago, I started this blog to keep myself entertained while he was at work and I was living in a new place. Since having the blog, I’ve really loved being my own boss, and making my own hours. So when B got out, we decided to take some time off, and then figure out what our next steps are.

Bridesmaid Proposal Box Ideas

Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes are such a fun new trend.  Now that you’ve got your celebration on, with your own Bridal Box Subscription, and you’re getting use to your new bride status...it’s time for, what I believe to be, one of the most exciting parts of your wedding planning process...asking your bridesmaids to stand up with you as you say “I do”. Your bridesmaids are the girls in your life who are there for you during the crazy wedding planning phase. “Back in the day”, brides simply asked their girls to be bridesmaids, but now...there’s a fun trend to ask with a fun gift...also known as a “bridesmaid proposal.”  I personally love this trend, as I get to give my girls a special gift while I ask them to stand up with me as I marry my best friend.

How to Sleep Better When Traveling

Who dislikes traveling? Nobody! We all like exploring new places, literally everyone loves to travel.

Even those anxious about flights or bus and train trips love to arrive to the new place and see a new culture with enthusiasm!

I was always like that. I was anxious before my trips, rethinking if everything goes well and a lot more. But I definitely loved packing and dancing along as I fantasized about unpacking when I get to the new place.

The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Spring Cleaning

Let’s face it. Who wants to spend their time off spring cleaning? Wouldn’t it be better to spend that time binge watching another awesome series on Netflix? Yes, it would. Unfortunately, self-cleaning homes are still a thing of the future. Until we start to live like The Jetsons, we’ll still have to do the cleaning ourselves. Yes, it does indeed suck. Thankfully, there are ways to clean your home without missing too many hours of your free time.

Our Engagement Story

We're starting the New Year out with a bang...and a ROCK!!

A quick little backstory about the day...I had a photo shoot booked in the city (in Chicago), with a photographer that reached out to me through the blog.  He was in town for the weekend, and asked if I was up to collaborate on a shoot.  I get a lot of random inquiries from people reaching out to me on IG or the blog…but this photographer had some really nice shots, and the timing worked out, so I decided to do a collab with him.  I thought it would be an awesome opportunity to get some nice shots of Bart and I in the city before he moves to California.  So we set it up for January 1st, which was the only day we could actually make it out to the city, since Bart had to work the next couple days.

Reliving Your Best Memories with GoPro and QuikStories

"Pictures or it never happened!"

We have been long time fans of GoPro...even from the early days.  Now, GoPro is even cooler than ever, and with the new APP QuikStories, we're enjoying our memories with just a touch of a button.

My GoPro has been with me through so much.  Shark Cage Diving, Bungee Jumping, Snowboarding, Fishing...it's been all across the states, in New Zealand, Australia, Haiti, and Iceland.  I've had it for years, and it has never failed me.  It is so awesome to have all these pictures and videos of my favorite memories, when usually I wouldn't have much proof of it before.  After all the love my GoPro has given me, it was time to upgrade to another one...but only because of the awesome new features they keep coming out with.
