In need of Weeknight Date Ideas? Here are a few that can help!

Life can be busy. And dating with a busy life can be tough. Sure, there’s weekends. But sometimes trying to keep a relationship alive requires a little bit more effort than just seeing each other at the end of the week.

Luckily, there’s no rulebook out there that says dating is just for the weekends. You can date on weekdays too!

Of course, these dates might have to be slightly amended to fit the fact that you have to work the next day – but that’s okay! Here are 17 of our favorite quick and easy weekday date ideas for busy lifestyles.

Fun Weeknight Dates

Dessert

Any day is a good day for dessert. Plus, desserts make for a super cute date idea. Whether you’re going for cheesecake, ice cream, or some other delectable dish, dessert is a quick and easy date night idea that everyone can enjoy – even on a weeknight.

Drinks

You don’t have to splurge every time you drink. As long as you can curb your consumption, a few drinks during the week isn’t going to hurt anyone. In fact, it might be a great way to take the edge off during a stressful work week.

Walk

Did you know that walking is one of the best ways to de-stress? Walking releases endorphins into your body, which help to stimulate relaxation and promote feelings of positivity and happiness.

You don’t have to walk fast or far. You just have to walk. So a nice stroll with your date after work or before bed might be exactly what the doctor called for this week.

Netflix and Chill

Sometimes staying home and just chillin’ out is more than enough. And during a busy week, this may be exactly what you and your date need. Find a good movie, (or TV Shows to Binge), pop some popcorn, and just relax together.

Sunset at the Beach

If you’re looking for a quick, easy, and romantic date, head to the beach and watch the sunset.

You only need an hour or two for this date, so it makes it the perfect option for weeknights.

If you want, you could even pack a light picnic and have some snacks under the sunset – and be home in bed by 9.

Couples Massage

There’s literally never a bad time for a massage. Not only do massages decrease pain and tension, but they also help to relax the body and mind, stimulate circulation, and lower anxiety and stress.

Plus, it’s a great intimate bonding experience for you and your date.

Game Night

The best thing about game night is that you can make it as long or as short as you want.

You can play a quick game of Yahtzee within 30 mins, or you can spend the entire night playing a game of Monopoly.

On busy weeknights, short games are best!

Puzzle Night

If you’re looking for an activity that will last a few nights in a row, get a 1000 piece (or more) puzzle that you can work on together.

Puzzles are a great way to relax your mind and take it off of the stresses of work. Plus, they give you something you can do together a little bit each night.

Arcade

You don’t have to spend hours at the arcade to have fun.

A quick visit for some friendly competition is enough to enjoy some quality time with your partner and be home and in bed early enough to wake up feeling fresh.

Facials

If your partner is down for a little TLC, facials are a quick and relaxing thing that you can do together on a weekday. Other ways to pamper yourself include pedicures, manicures, or even saunas!

Sports

Some couples like to join co-ed sports teams together – and for good reason!

Sports are a great way to get your endorphins flowing – and when you can do that together, it brings you closer as a couple.

They’re also a great activity for moving your body after sitting at a desk or working all day long.

Watch a Sport

If playing a sport isn’t your thing, maybe you’d like to go watch one? Sport events are always an upbeat and fun atmosphere, making them the perfect activity to enjoy after a long day of work.

Tour Your City

If it’s a weekday you probably don’t want to travel too far away from home.

But when was the last time you took the time to explore your own city?

Hit all the local hotspots and explore all the things that your hometown has to offer. Then, head home whenever your heart sees fit.

Comedy Club

If you need a good laugh, the comedy club is a perfect place to get it. The shows generally only last a few hours and are a great way for you and your date to enjoy some quality time together.

Plus, you could have a few drinks to help take some edge off before a new workday tomorrow.

Plan a Trip

Okay, so you can’t take a trip in the middle of your workweek but that doesn’t mean you can’t plan for one!

Whether you are planning your next weeklong vacation together a month from now, or a 2 day getaway for the upcoming weekend, planning a trip together can give you both something to look forward to.

Recreate Your First Date

Chances are, your first date was somewhere close to home. And if you’ve been together a while now, re-creating that first date can be super romantic.

Spice it up even more with a little role play by pretending to meet for the first time all over again!

Dinner

No matter what day it is, you have to eat. Plus, you’ve worked hard all day so you deserve a break.

Weeknights are the perfect time to go out for dinner. Not only does it save you the stress of cooking, but it also saves you from spending the night doing dishes. Take a break and take your date out for dinner – it’s a double win!

Of course, these are just a few of the many different date ideas that you can have on a weeknight.

Keep things simple, choose activities that are short and quick, and stay close to home. If you follow these three rules, your date won’t leave you missing work in the morning!
