Looking for Out of The Box Date Ideas? Anyone here watch the Bachelor? If you don’t watch it, we’re sure you’ve at least heard of it. The premise is simple – dozens of women competing for the heart of one man.

text reads "out of the box date ideas" with a woman looking over a cliff to a group of hot air balloons.

Of course, the dates on the show are extravagant. Balloon rides over Paris, helicopter picnics in the mountains – as out of the box as it gets. And we are all for it!

Out of The Box Date Ideas

So without keeping you in suspense, here are our top 10 out of the box date ideas (ranging from cheap to extravagant):

Helicopter Tour

Since we’ve already brought it up, and it’s a Bachelor date favorite, we might as well mention it first – helicopter tours!

There is no way you can be unromantic with a helicopter tour – unless maybe you’re going with your mom and dad!

And you can take helicopter tours anywhere – over the water, into the mountains, over the city – and no matter where you go, the views are stunning.

If you’re looking for a really over the top, out of the box date idea – this is it!

Balloon Rides

Another Bachelor classic – balloon rides. What’s more romantic than riding over the city in a giant balloon with a glass of wine and the person you admire most?

Not much. The best thing about hot air balloon rides is that they are extravagant, yet affordable.

Of course, it’s a little more expensive than a regular date, so we don’t recommend it everyday.

But if you’re looking for something to do on a special occasion – this is a great date idea!

Spa Date

Okay, okay – we know what you’re about to say – “there’s nothing out of the box about a spa date”.

But we’re not talking about regular spas. We’re talking beer spas, salt caves, mud baths – there’s lots of unique spa concepts out there that we’re sure you have yet to experience.

In addition to the spa experiences above, we also love the concepts of treatments like oxygen therapy, grape skin wraps, float spas, and reiki!

Rage Room

Feeling some stress and anxiety starting to build? A Rage Room is a great place to release it all!

At a rage room, you get to smash things, break things, throw things – essentially you get to trash the place!

If you’ve ever felt like putting your fist through a wall or throwing something out of anger – this is the place for you.

A unique date concept and a great way for you and your date to let out some rage, a Rage Room will be a date you won’t forget.

Tour Homes

Whether you’re in the process of looking for a new home or not, checking them out can always be a fun experience.

Wait for a good day with lots of open houses, then take a tour around them pretending that you are a buyer on the prowl.

Most open houses will have free treats – and you might get some great ideas for your home (or future home) too.

This is such a fun free date idea to try too!
